Hope Davis (Lisa Fenimore), a single mother struggling to make ends meet this holiday season, unexpectedly lands a job as a caregiver for the eccentric and unpredictable Hollywood diva, Wilma MacDonald, aka 'Billie Mac' (Claire Montgomery) Working alongside the handsome chauffeur, Kenneth Burns (Charlie Wood), sparks fly between them. However, as the romance blossoms, Hope mistakenly becomes convinced of a con artist scheme orchestrated by the conniving lawyer and agent, suspecting them of plotting to swindle Billie Mac out of her fortune.
Meanwhile, Billie Mac is amazed by Hope’s raw singing talent. For the first time in years, the spirit of Christmas fills Billie Mac’s home, and a strong bond of friendship forms between them. However, discovering some dirt on Hope, Kenneth becomes suspicious and confronts her. The misunderstanding is eventually resolved, and, fueled by the spirit of Christmas, they hatch a plan to expose the conniving lawyer and agent. In a surprising twist, Billie Mac hatches her own plan to arrange for Hope to sing on a live TV news broadcast, turning her into an overnight sensation.
The whirlwind of emotions is too much for Billie Mac, who falls ill. Even from her sick bed she insists on celebrating Christmas. Finally, Hope opens a card from Billie Mac to discover that she has been booked to sing at the annual live Christmas concert at the legendary Hollywood Bowl for the whole world to see. This Christmas, everyone gets their wish as Hope finds success as a singer, Kenneth finds his true love, and Billie Mac’s life is at peace and no longer lonely after helping everyone find joy this holiday season.
